Stay on top of things: Inbox and Activity

It is key to have a clear view of what is happening on your tasks and projects you are involved in, from their start through to completion.

You can achieve this by looking at the Inbox and Activity views.

Inbox

The inbox is split between Incoming Requests and Events that are related to tasks and projects you are involved in.

You can check off work in an email-like workflow, with inbox and archived filters.

This is where you receive notifications that are related to you, including comments and replies where you are mentioned, tasks that were assigned to you, or invitations to new organisations and projects.
These events will also be sent to your devices via push notifications if you chose to enable that option.

Activity

Activity allows you to view and track your team’s collaboration on all the projects and tasks that you follow.

It shows the “Basic” activity on a task, including task creation, comments, assignments, status updates, file uploads etc, broken down by project.
It's a good way to get an overview of all the new activities on a project you are involved in.

Following and Unfollowing Projects and Tasks

When you are added to a project, you follow it by default. Therefore in your Activity menu you will receive all types of events related to this project and its tasks.

However, there could be times when you want to stop the noise from projects and tasks that you don´t need to receive updates from by unfollowing them.

  • To unfollow a project, click on Projects from the left hand side menu, then single click on the project that you want to unfollow to display the project information at the right hand side inspector and finally, click on the tape icon next to the project name.

  • To unfollow a task, click on Tasks from the left hand side menu, then click on the task cell that you wan to unfollow, to display the task information at the right hand side inspector, and finally, click on the tape icon next to the task name.
